The right napoleon mirror has also begun to blur when it didn’t before. These issues seem to be getting worse.Īfter getting the bike back on the road I started to notice there was a vibration noise coming from (I think) around the handlebars ( a tinny, hollow ringing noise) This noise kicks in at between 4500rpm and 5000rpm in all gears. I’ve been able to ride the bike since, but I’ve noticed a couple of issues, that were not there before. I managed to get the bike home, and replaced the footpegs with Oberon alloy replacements. The resulting fall broke the right footpeg off, and made a thumb size chip on the engine cover, and put a ding in the exhaust. Had I more experience, I’m sure I would have avoided the situation. I ended up in the shingles on the outside of the roundabout, and as I slowed to a stop, I lost my footing, and the bike toppled. This resulted in me swerving to avoid him. My problem is as follows, while going around a roundabout, a driver in a german saloon car merged into my lane virtually on top of me. Since owning it, I’ve changed the aftermarket indicators for something of better quality, lay flat clock bracket, I got some new bars with the bike, but I’ve not fitted them as yet. The bike has been regularly serviced, as far as the service book shows, and the bike had a fresh oil and filter change when I purchased it. It’s had a few mods, including piggy back shocks, tail-tidy, Pirelli Sports Demon Tyres, TOR exhaust. I’ve bought a 2010 Triumph Thruxton, the bike has only covered 5k miles since new, and is in very good condition. I’m a new member, and a junior member of the biking community, having only passed my test two months ago.
